Character Select

The latest build of Arcadecraft is now available on the Humble Store!

This build has all of the selectable characters completed! This means no more temporary white null characters appearing as customers in the arcade.

FullRoster

This leaves only two more character assets to be completed and then Arcadecraft can be considered out of Early Access/Beta.

As well, we have a new cover for the PC version featuring the PC character assets.

We are hoping to be wrapped on the Steam version of the game in a few weeks as well. When we are done with that and the game is up we will start issuing Steam Codes to those who have already bought through Humble. Until then you can buy Arcadecraft at:

The Humble Store

Or through the Humble Widget below!

Beta News

Hello all!

We just wanted to update everyone on where we are at right now on the Arcadecraft PC Beta front. We have a new build that we are testing that includes a number of new changes, fixes, and improvements. When we release it for upload to Humble we will put out the changelog that lists everything we have done.

The major fix is that European number standards are now supported so the game won’t crash on launch for some users.

We are expecting to be done testing this build early tomorrow and hope that you will have access to it on Wednesday or Thursday. Thank you for your patience!

Arcadecraft Content Update 3 Now Available!

Our 3rd Content Update for Arcadecraft is now available for download on the Xbox Live Marketplace!

Included in this update is:

New Content:
◾1 New Cocktail Machine
◾1 New Music Track
◾2 New “Graphics” Customization Options.
◾Pop Machine and Jukebox now show their stats on the purchase screen.
◾Pinball Machines have an ambient shadow
◾???Secret Number Added???

Balancing:
◾Machine Genres are now worth more popularity, but less than in Content Update 1.
◾The employee Rick Pennywise, has been tweaked to empty change at a higher threshold.

Performance:
◾The game should hold 30fps with around 26-27 machines in the space. This is up a good 4 machines from before.

Bugs Fixed:
◾Tickertape bug should be fixed.
◾Hot Square no longer appears outside of the arcade.
◾Unjamming Pinball Machines has the coins displaying in the proper place.
◾Angry Gamer now spawns in more random places.
◾Bobby Danger exploit fixed.

Still Not in this Update:
◾The new environment is not in this update. The reason is that there is currently performance/framerate issues with having 44 machines available on screen at once. It is pointless to ship the new space if it only offers the same machine limits as the current space.

On the current Xbox Marketplace we are aware that the cover art is not up to date. Hopefully it can be fixed soon so if you still see the old cover after you have done the update don’t worry about it.

We hope you have fun playing the game with the new content! If you have any issues, concerns, or comments, please email us!

More exciting Arcadecraft news should be coming in a couple short weeks! Thank you for your support!

Arcadecraft Content Update 2 Available

We are happy to report that Content Update 2 for Arcadecraft is now available!

Included in this update is:

New Content:

  • 4 New Pinball Machines!
  • 10 New Standup Cabinets. Many of them 2 player simultaneous.
  • 1 New Import Cabinet.
  • 1 New Sitdown Cockpit Machine.
  • 1986 now has machines available in it.
  • Dec 1987 is now the final month.
  • New audio added for the selector and pinball machines.

Balancing:

  • Machine Genres are now worth less popularity.
  • Pinball is a new Genre, and available in year 1 to rebalance the above point.
  • Release dates for a given year are now no longer static. 1980 machines remain 1980 machines but the month of release is now randomized. So every play through is different and unique.
  • The employee Rick Pennywise, now works faster and will empty machines at a lower threshold.
  • The storage room now acts like a proper storage room. Machines in storage do not count as machines on the arcade floor. So the upper limit of machines in your arcade is now 34.

Not in this Update

  • The new environment is not in this update.

Thank you for your support!

Deliverables

Hello everyone!

Sorry for the radio silence on here. We use Twitter for more day to day updates and conversations and normally update the main site when we have more blanket news.

The update for AC is still coming along. You can hold us, (really me) accountable that we will show off some of the new features of the game this Friday, the 31st of May. This will include screenshots of the new location, 8 new standup arcade machines for 1986, and at least one pinball machine all located in the new arcade environment. You will likely also see some other assets here and there that all new.

So check back Friday evening and see what we have!
